A Old Invention With A New Attitude

A old Invention with a New attitude. What a great name for the Mixer seems its been around since the days of Ms Betty Crocker and beyond. I loved my mixer it was a hand me down from my mom until it croaked the other day. I was making a never before done Butter cake .Well it started out good but then the mixing spinners went haywire. It wasnt pretty they seemed like they wanted to get to close to each other and was knocking each other out. So now looking for a new and improved Mixer. One that doesnt have separate mixing spinners it has just one .Ohh Did I get the cake done the answer is yes I never claimed Im a baker of any sorts but this time I did a pretty good job on it. First Cake ever been done by this ole Coot. I made Butter Cream frosting too but talk about Rich .

Okay new recipe this one I took off of a bottle minus the chemicals with real Nice flavor.

Teriyaki Sauce

1 bottle of favorite soy sauce
Brown Sugar
1Tbl spoon of garlic either out of a jar or fresh
Ginger

Depending on how much sauce you want it how much you mix for me I use about 1cup of soy sauce and add the brown sugar until I get it right .
Adding the garlic aprox 1 Tbls spoon of garlic yes its alot but garlic gets sweet when cooked. Ginger just a tad for taste I dont use it but I have heard its in the original Sauce. make sure you do the taste test to make sure its what you want it to taste like.
When using this for chicken make sure you spread it on thin and baste as you cook . Its real good for grilling as well

Tick...When using Ginger ..this is a very strong spice so use just a tiny bit and its good for you has very nice health properties to it.

Well Folks that is it for today..Enjoy

You can use this for Steak Shrimp

Sloppy Dogs

Strange name for a great taste..And the Kids will like it alot and if your a kid at heart like I am you will too. First thing Wash the ole hands make sure you get all the spaces in between never know what germy might be lurking any where on the hands.

What you will need is a pound of hamburger whatever is the cheapest if your on a budget and 1 can of manwich or make your own..1 pkg of your favorite hot dogs I use always save they aren't always good but which what your adding it will be good..Now you need a small pan to cook or brown the hamburger I know some of you get really hungry and want to hurry this up..Well Don't you will burn the kitchen down and your hamburger wont be any good.So turn the heat on Medium to medium low brown that hamburger being very careful not to spill the grease or on yourself its not pretty when you burn you.. Ive done it several time. I try to find a old can and put the grease in it being very careful. Are we done yet almost there..open up the can of manwich put it slowly in the hamburger leave the burner turned down a notch or two . Now get a sauce pan put your hot dogs in it and get them a cookin.when they are done your manwich stuff will be done too.put hot dog in a bun or on bread or on a plate and then add your manwich on top. You can add mustard or onions or whatever your little heart desires.
That's it..

Don't forget to wash your hands again And Don't Burn the Kitchen Down.

Cleaniness is next to Godliness

Alright now will shall conquer the art of cleanliness..First of all I know that there are several things you can do to keep things clean . Alot of popular items especially the hand sanitizer ..you know the stuff that dries your hands out if you use too much.
This is what works for me I run a sink of hot soapy water. I wash my hands first the way I see it is this back in the days when we didn't have chemicals we did just fine nobody got hurt or died. You can use what you want but it is important not at least wash your hands. Alot of dish soap has antibacterial stuff in it that is very inexpensive on the market. Okay done washing your hands ..Great lets get started on One recipe that is very easy to do. Guess you will have to read the next blog to find it its called Sloppy Dogs.

Recipe of Life

The Recipe of Life is..Well there isn't one.. I started this blog because I have worked in alot of restaurants.I have heard over and over I cant Cook I will burn the kitchen down or have burned the kitchen down..Now if you have burned your kitchen down dont bother with this..actually yes bother it alot. First let me tell you about myself then we will move on. Im 49 soon to be 50 woman who works in a casino in the Bistro. I have done alot of fast food work most of my life with the exception of the military. Yes I found time to do that and I wasnt a cook either. I was a medic . I am in a relationship with a woman of 10 years with 2 cats and 4 dogs all small with the exception of one of the cats he is a baby Huey. I love to cook my Idols are Julia Child the Two Fat Ladies Rachael Ray and Paula Dean. Each one of them holds something close to me,which is humor and food.I must say a great combination. The blog just isn't about recipes and how to cook them but humor in doing them and what to watch out for .They are not hard recipes not even a little bit and they have food in them that you will find in the cabinets. Nothing fancy at all not even close. We are all on budgets right now and close ones at that. Alot of the blogs that you will find here are mistakes that I have made or someone else made which I'm allowed to tell.

The recipes are mine with original names but you have my permission to do whatever you want to them to make them better for you. Just Don't Burn The Kitchen Down

The last thing I would like to say is this Anybody can cook with help and patience and some breathing exercises and last of all laugh a little that's the recipe of Life.
